Recently, we shared an article detailing our intention behind starting the IUIGA Mindfulness Community. To our surprise, we were delighted by the kind resonance we got from it, and we’re so inspired by your openness to share with one another in the community. In that article, we covered why we craved for an inclusive club in the beginning. And ICYMI, it was really because we wanted to be amongst like-minded company, simply put. Having prior experience in knowing we’ve got so much to learn from you, our consumer-turned-friend, we wanted a shared space where we could hear directly from you.
Over the past few months, all thanks to you, we managed to achieve so much with the group. The mindfulness community felt like a digital refuge for us at the IUIGA HQ. It bridged connection and lent a human touch to the brand.
In our origin story, we shared this:
Being in the business of selling everyday home and living products put us in an awkward position to start a mindfulness community. By logic, we should be opposite everything that ‘mindfulness’ and ‘conscious consumerism’ stand for. After all, the less mindful you are as a consumer, and the less conscious you are when making decisions, the more businesses reap off you in general.
But as you know, we’re unlike other businesses. We actually aim to be different. From the get-go, we’ve always been people-first. In our communication with you, we often highlight messages such as ‘radical transparency’ and ‘conscious consumerism’ in our offerings so you enjoy the best savings on thoughtful, quality products. In the same train of thought, we share mindfulness as a value in all ways relevant to life in the community. Whether it’s being mindful at work or in our everyday consumption, even tips on better sleep habits and self-care, we only post content we resonate with.
But in recent months, though it’s been amazing, we’ve felt things have plateaued a little. With everything we set out to build within the mindfulness community checked off, it got us thinking, what’s next? Perhaps as a forward-thinker, you’ve been feeling the same and share our sentiment too.
Integrating Mindfulness Into the IUIGA Brand
While our main title may sound a little dramatic, it’s not without truth. We’re in midst of restructuring our social media efforts. As a fast-growing brand, we’re in a much better position now to share our beliefs and offerings on social media to uplift a wider audience. And we thought, what better way to integrate all the exclusive content we’ve been sharing in the closed group, than with our greater audience on our main page? After all, beyond all racial, cultural and spiritual borders, don’t you think mindfulness is something we can all get behind? It’s such a broad practice that in all our different ways of living, there’s bound to be a page from the mindfulness book that we can integrate into our day-to-day. If anything, we think the world can do with more good than bad.
